Loren Yagoda expresses her creativity as an artist through her fusing of two seemingly opposing artistic styles. The first is meditative, in order to unwind, clear and open the mind. The second is purely expressive, an exploring stimulating approach. In combining these two artistic styles in one vision, Loren invites the viewer into her world
Loren's technique involves applying paint on canvas with brush and palette knife in multiple layers of neutral colors. Her latest series of abstract paintings is influenced by her love of architecture and nature. Her bold black or white brushwork brings to her works an architectonic quality.
Born in Birmingham, Michigan, Loren was raised in Tucson, Arizona. She grew up surrounded by art in a family of collectors, designers and architects. At age 40, Loren returned to school and received her BFA at Memphis College of Art. She resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.
